SAUDIA flight is the first of a new twice-weekly service connecting Riyadh to RSI

Red Sea Global (RSG) achieved a significant milestone today with the inaugural flight to its Red Sea International Airport (RSI), marking a transformative moment for Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry.

The SAUDIA flight, originating from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport (RUH), is the first of a new twice-weekly service connecting the capital to RSI. This remarkable achievement solidifies Saudi Arabia’s presence on the global tourism stage and reflects RSG’s commitment to redefining the travel experience.

“Today, Saudi Arabia’s position on the global tourism map is all but secured,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global. The ambitious project aims to make The Red Sea a premier destination where visitors can immerse themselves in Saudi culture, hospitality, and nature.

Positioned within an eight-hour flight from 85 percent of the world’s population, RSI is strategically poised to become a global aviation hub. It will soon welcome international flights as additional phase one resorts open, making the Red Sea region easily accessible to travelers worldwide.

On the same day as the inaugural flight, RSG unveiled the brand identity for RSI, emphasizing its role as the gateway to The Red Sea destination. The brand embodies the qualities of the five-star hospitality guests can expect to enjoy across the region, characterized by creativity, novelty, and sophistication.

The brand icon takes inspiration from RSI’s unique architecture, capturing the airport’s elegance and modernity in a contemporary design.

Beyond the airport, Red Sea Global has made substantial progress in various infrastructure projects. Five solar farms, equipped with over 760,000 solar panels, will power the first phase of The Red Sea, ensuring sustainability and environmental responsibility. The region’s largest Landscape Nursery has nurtured over four million trees, plants, and shrubs, while a state-of-the-art Mangrove Nursery aims to plant 50 million mangroves by 2030.

Upon completion in 2030, The Red Sea destination will boast 50 resorts, 8,000 hotel rooms, over 1,000 residential properties, luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment, dining, and leisure facilities. It signifies a pivotal contribution to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, diversifying the nation’s economy and creating opportunities for young Saudi talent and the private sector.

Red Sea Global remains dedicated to sustainable development, showcasing how responsible and regenerative development can uplift communities, drive economies, and enhance the environment.

As the world’s attention turns to the Red Sea region, its future as a premier tourist destination has never been brighterfull_stop
