You’ve transitioned from media to sustainable hospitality. What drove this shift?

What does a typical day look like for you at Red Sea Global?

Each day is different, filled with tasks from developing sustainability guidelines to managing guest activities. I also focus on accessibility, ensuring all our services are inclusive. It’s this variety that keeps my role exciting and fulfilling.

How do your personal interests in marine life influence your work?

Growing up in Jeddah instilled a deep love for the ocean. At work, I channel this passion into creating and implementing practices that protect our marine environments, ensuring our operations are both enjoyable for guests and mindful of the ecosystem.

Can you share some sustainable practices you’ve implemented?

We prioritize sustainability in everything, from the kitchenware we use to the cleaning products for our water sports equipment. These efforts significantly reduce our environmental footprint and safeguard our marine life, enhancing the overall guest experience.

What challenges do you face in embedding sustainable practices into everyday operations?

Balancing guest expectations with our sustainability goals is challenging. We address this by educating our guests about the importance of our eco-friendly measures and offering them sustainable alternatives that enhance their experience.
