How did your background in art influence your transition to culinary arts?

Initially, it was intimidating—I was more comfortable with canvases than kitchens. But I was drawn to the culinary world’s vibrant and fast-paced environment. It felt like another form of art, turning sketches into sensory experiences.

What were some of the biggest challenges you faced in shifting your career?

Relocating from the eastern to the western side of Saudi Arabia was a major move, and learning English was another hurdle. Yet, each challenge was a step toward greater achievements and deeper growth.

How has Vision 2030 influenced your career in the culinary field?

Vision 2030 was a gateway to opportunities I never thought possible. Joining the Red Sea Global’s Vocational Training Program changed everything for me—it was not just about training but a complete transformation.

As a woman in the culinary industry, what perspective do you bring?

Women are increasingly recognized in the culinary field, and here in Saudi Arabia, we’re leading the charge. With substantial support from our nation, we’re not just participating; we’re excelling and leading.

How do you blend your skills in art with your culinary techniques?

I start with a sketch of each dish, planning its composition and presentation. After the dish is prepared, I capture its essence through photography, showcasing my culinary creations as works of art.
