The electric fleet, dedicated to the guests of The Red Sea, it is powered by sunlight

Red Sea Global (RSG) has achieved a groundbreaking feat in sustainable luxury travel with the completion of Saudi Arabia’s largest off-grid electric vehicle (EV) charging network. The network, encompassing over 150 strategically positioned charging stations, now fuels the exclusive fleet of electric Mercedes-Benz EQS and Lucid Air vehicles at The Red Sea destination.

John Pagano, Group CEO of RSG, emphasized the seamless integration of sustainability and luxury, stating, “Our vision for next-gen, smart mobility fully powered by sunlight is a testament to our commitment to environmentally responsible travel.”

The bespoke electric fleet, dedicated to the guests of The Red Sea, provides a sophisticated and eco-friendly travel experience, connecting the airport, resorts, and facilities seamlessly.

Furthermore, the infrastructure development for the EV fleet has paved the way for 1,500 new jobs, promoting local talent and communities, and solidifying RSG’s commitment to future mobility.

The Red Sea’s broader sustainability objectives aim to run solely on renewable energy, setting a global benchmark in eco-friendly tourism. Andreas Flourou, Group Head of Mobility at RSG, highlighted the project’s role in advancing sustainable transportation and promoting regenerative tourism.

As The Red Sea opens its doors this year, plans for carbon-neutral electric buses for staff transport and exploration of sustainable solutions for various modes of travel underscore RSG’s dedication to eco-conscious tourism.
